It’s much harder than you’d think and watching people try to swim while keeping a noodle underwater is pretty darn hilarious. The best made-up game was the one-legged noodle race, in which you had to keep a pool noodle submerged with one leg and swim to the other side of the pool as fast as you could, while the noodle remained under water. Our pool time was one of the highlights of my day, as we made up some stellar pool games. We spent the majority of the afternoon on the beach, before swimming in the pool (the ocean is too cold) and showering before dinner. Today was such a fun day! It is so flavorful, you’ll be saying “ mmmmmmm” a lot while you’re eating. Everyone in my family ordered the grilled mesquite grouper. There’s a lot of noise in there, and that’s a good thing. The written orders are put on metals clips and then forced down a metal line into the kitchen. The inside of this ultra casual, rustic restaurant is very small, with only 6 tables and about a dozen seats at the bar. But once I entered this lively place, I completely forgot about the name. Are Flamingos really lazy? That’s the first thing that came to my mind when I heard about this seafood restaurant on Sanibel Island in Southwest Florida.
